CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. e - 79 d 0
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-7A OF THE TAMARAC
CITY CODE PERTAINING TO THE PUBLIC INFORMATION
COMMITTEE BY MODIFYING ITS MEMBERSHIP TO AT LEAST
FIVE (5) REGULAR MEMBERS SELECTED FROM THE GENERAL
PUBLIC, WITH NO ALTERNATE MEMBERS; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PRO-
VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 2-7A of the Tamarac City Code is
amended by inserting the words underscored and deleting the words
struck through as follows:
Section 2-7A. Public Information Committee.
Creation, Membership. A Public Information
Committee is hereby created as a permanent agency of the City and
shall, consist of one member of and designated by the Council, one
member of and designated by the Charter Board and at least three-f;4)
five (5) members designated by the Council from the general public.

general-publie. The chairman of the committee shall be selected
by the committee from among the public members. The members shall
serve at the pleasure of Council and without compensation. The
committee shall promulgate its rules and order of procedure which
shall comply with all applicable laws.
SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify
this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared
by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
any part hereof other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective im-
mediately upon its final passage.
