CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-8(a) OF THE
TAMARAC CITY CODE BY MODIFYING THE NUMBER OF
MEMBERS ON THE BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES; PRO-
VIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING REPEALER;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 2-8(a) of the Tamarac City Code is amende
as follows:
2-8 (a) Creation membership. There is hereby created and
established a Board of Social Services which shall be a permanent
agency and shall consist of not less than three (3) members, all
appointed by the Council and to serve at the pleasure of the
Council and without compensation. The Board shall promulgate its
rules and order of procedure which shall comply with all applicable
laws.
SECTION 2:
Specific authority is hereby granted to codify
Section 1 of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this ordinance
or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be
declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as
a whole or any part hereof other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
