AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-72 OF THE
TAMARAC CITY CODE PERTAINING TO MISCELLANEOUS
LIMITATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS WHICH ARE IN THE
SPYGLASS AND WEDGEWOOD SUBDIVISIONS IN R-3U
ZONING DISTRICTS BY CREATING A NEW SUBSECTION
(e) PERTAINING TO SETBACKS WHEREIN THE PROPER-
TY IN THE WEDGEWOOD AND SPYGLASS SUBDIVISIONS
ONLY ABUTS A GOLF COURSE PROPERLY ZONED, AND
RESTRICTED TO LIMIT USE OF SUCH FACILITY TO
GOLF COURSE USE; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION;

FECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: -FINDINGS OF FACT
The Spyglass and Wedgewood Subdivisions had been abandoned and
recommenced. When abandoned, the backbone improvements had al-
readv been constructed. As a prerequisite to recommencing work,
the City insisted that buildings be moved back .from the street.
This has made it difficult to enclose patios in the rear of homes.
The City recognizes problems created in moving buildings and wishes
to allow patios when the building abuts golf courses under modi-
fied -setback regulations.
SECTION 2: Section 2-72 "e" of the Tamarac City Code is
created to read as -follows:
(e) Setbacks for the Spyglass and Wedgewood subdivisions
only where property zoned and restricted to limit use of such
facility to golf course use;
1. Required minimum rear setback on additions
of screen rooms with structural roofs and open patios
with structural roofs shall be eight (8) feet.
2.' Open patios and/or screen patios covered with
open mesh screening shall have a minimum rear setback of
five (5) feet.
3. Neither of the above shall ever be enclosed with
windows or solid walls.
