AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR
THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM R-4A (PLANNED
APARTMENTS) TO S-1 (OPEN SPACE/RECREATION) IDENTIFIED AS A
PORTION OF PARCEL "A", "SABAL PALM VILLAGE OF TAMARAC", AS
RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 79, AT PAGE 42, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS
e OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA (OTHERWISE IDENTIFIED AS BEING
THOSE LANDS ON THE EAST SIDE OF SABAL PALM BOULEVARD NORTH,
9 APPROXIMATELY 680-FEET SOUTH OF BAILEY ROAD, AND EXTENDING
SOUTHWARD FROM SABAL PALM BOULEVARD EAST APPROXIMATELY 480-FEET
10 AND BEING NORTH OF THE EXISTING SABAL PALM CONDOMINIUM APART-
MENTS); PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO
11 REFLECT SUCH CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERAMMY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of

the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accorda

with the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing regar

the zoning of the property described herein and the said public hearix
has been held in accordance with the notice and the public has been
given an opportunity to be, and has been heard; and the Council has
examined and investigated the request for the zoning herein and has
received the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of
Tamarac;- and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition 22-Z-81
the City Council, pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A" attachec
hereto acid made a part hereof "are hereby rezoned from R-4A to S-1 .
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Tamar
shall be changed to reflect in the zoning, said changes to be initia
by the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the effective date of
this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declar
by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
any part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
