CITY OF TAMARAC. FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-92- ,5,2.
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES DURING SPECIFIED HOURS ON SUNDAY;
PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That to the extent permitted by law and not in
conflict with the general laws of the State of Florida, the sale of all
alcoholic beverages for consumption, either on or off premises, on
Sundays is prohibited from 2:01 A.M. to 12:00 noon, local time. For
the purpose of this ordinance, the term "Alcoholic Beverage" is that
term set forth within Chapter 561 of the Florida Statutes as the same
may be amended from time to time.
SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify
this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be
declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such

decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a
whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared to be
invalid.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective June 1,
1982.
