CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC AMENDING THE FIRST
FULL PARAGRAPH OF SECTION XV OF THE RETIREMENT PLAN FOR
THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AS SET
FORTH IN ORDINANCE NO. 77-13, AND AS SUBSEQUENTLY AMENDED,
BY PROVIDING AN ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE
BOARD FOR GENERAL EMPLOYEES, POLICE OFFICERS AND
FIREFIGHTERS; AND ADDING THE TRUSTEE AS A MEMBER OF SAID
BOARD; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF
INVALID PROVISIONS: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The first full paragraph of Section 15 of Ordinance No.
77-13, as subsequently amended is hereby further amended as follows:

ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD:
. The general administration and responsibility for the proper
operation of the retirement plan and for making effective the provisions of
this article are hereby vested in Administrative Board consisting of eight (8)
voting members and three (3) alternate members as follows:
One (1) Member and one (1) alternate Member representing the general
employees duly elected by the Membership.
One (1) Police Officer and one (1) alternate Police Officer duly
elected by the Police Members.
One (1) Firefighter and one (1) alternate Firefighter duly elected by
the Fire Members.
One (1) Mayor.
One (1) City Manager or his Designee.
One (1) Director of Finance.
One (1) Chairman of the Charter Board.
One (1) Trustee
The alternate members may vote in the absence of the regular member.
The alternate member shall be elected for the same term as the regular
member.

SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or
any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court
of competent jurisdiction to.be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its final passage.
