CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE f/
AN ORDINANCE ADJUSTING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ELECTION
DISTRICTS OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC; DESCRIBING SAID
DISTRICTS; INCLUDING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS; AND
CONTAINING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, under Section 6.03 of the City Charter of the City of
Tamarac, the Redistricting Committee shall file with the Council a report
containing a plan for adjustment of the council district boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Redistricting Committee has submitted such report and
the Council has reviewed same and is desirous of accepting the redistricting
plan proposed therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That in accordance with the report of the
Redistricting Committee submitted to the Council the council district
boundaries of the City of Tamarac are hereby adjusted as follows:
DISTRICT #1: All lands that are East of the Sunshine State Parkway within
amarac ity limits and all lands that are bounded by: N.W. 64th Avenue on the
West; Commercial Blvd. on the North; the Sunshine State Parkway on the East;
and Tamarac City limits on the South.
DISTRICT #2: All lands that are bounded by: the Sunshine State Parkway on
e as ; Commercial Blvd. on the South; N.W. 88th Avenue on the West; and
N.W. 61st Street on the North between N.W. 88th Avenue and University Drive,
and the boundary line separating Section 10 from Section 15 on the North
between University Drive and N.W. 64th Avenue, and Bailey Road on the North
between N.W. 64th Avenue and the Sunshine State Parkway.
DISTRICT #3: All lands that are bounded by: Tamarac City limits on the East;
an a l5oundary line separating Section 10 from Section 15 on the South
between University Drive and N.W. 68th Avenue; University Drive on the West;
and Southgate Blvd. on the North; plus all lands that are bounded by:
University Drive on the East; and N.W. 61st Street on the South; and N.W. 88th
Avenue on the West; and W. McNab Road on the North.
DISTRICT #4: All lands that are bounded by: University Drive on the East;
SouthgaEe--M vd. on the North; W. McNab Road on the South; and extending west
to the Tamarac City limits; plus all landsbounded by:N.W. 88th Avenue on the
East; W. McNab Road on the North; Commercial Blvd. on the South; and extending
West to the Tamarac City limits.
Said lands situate, lying and being in the City of Tamarac, Broward County,
Florida.

SECTION 2: That the map of the Districts attached hereto and
marked Exhibit "A" is hereby adopted as the official map of the council
district boundaries.
SECTION 3: That the words "Tamarac City limits", as used in the
above descriptions, shall include land areas hereafter annexed into the City
of Tamarac.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or
any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court
of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its final passage.
