AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES BY ADDING SECTION 4-7 THERETO; PROVIDING
PROHIBITIONS CONCERNING THE FEEDING OF WILD ANIMALS;
PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
FOR INCLUSION IN CODE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the feeding of wild animals tends to cause a congregation
of same which leads to the recreation of nuisances and health hazards, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the
City to prohibit the public feeding of ducks.
NOW, SORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: There is hereby created a new Section to be entitled
Section 4-7, which shall read as follows:
"DUCKS FEEDING PROHIBITED: It shall be
unlawful for any person to feed or
cause to be fed or leave foodstuffs for
the consumption by any duck within the
City limits of Tamarac."
SECTION 2: Penalties: Any person violating the provisions hereof
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished according to the penalties pro-
vided at Section 1-6 of the Code of Ordinances.
SECTION 3: Conflict: All Ordinances or Code provisions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: Severability: If any Section, Subsection, sentence,
clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be
deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 5: Inclusion In Code: It is the intention of the City
Council of the City of Tamarac that the provisions of this Ordinance shall
become and be made part of -the Code or Ordinance of the City of Tamarac and
that the sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or relettered in the
words "Ordinance" may be changed to "Chapter", "Section", "Article" or such
other appropriate word or phrase, the use of which shall accomplish the
intentions herein expressed.
SECTION 6: Effective date: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
