AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES,
PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FROM R-3 (LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE) TO R-4A
(PLANNED APARTMENTS) IDENTIFIED AS PARCEL A,
SOUTHGATE GARDENS, PLAT BOOK 77, PAGE 27 OF THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA (OTHERWISE
IDENTIFIED AS THOSE LANDS SITUATED AT THE SOUTMIEST
CORNER OF lqw 71 AVE AND SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD);
PROVIDING FOR A1477NDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO
REFLECT SUCH CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING Ali EFFECTIVE DATE. _
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of
the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accordalkce
with the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing regar in
the zoning of the property described herein and the said public hearilig
has been held in accordance with the notice and the public has been
given an opportunity to be, and has been heard; and -the, Council has
examined and investigated the request for the zoning herein and has
received the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of -
Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition 13-Z-83 b
the City Council, pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof are hereby rezoned from R-3 to R-4A.
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Tamara
shall be changed to reflect in the zoning, said changes to be initial d
by the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the effective date of
this Ordinance. .
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared
by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
any part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective on
September 21, 1983.
