Ord. #1053 Revised 9/19/83 Revised 10/12/83 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA ORDINANCE NO. 0-83-47 . AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 14-69(8) OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE REPEALING THE PROVISION THAT A MEMBER OF CITY COUNCIL BE INCLUDED AS A MEMBER OF THE BURGLAR ALARM REVIEW COMMITTEE; AMENDING THE PROVISION FOR FOUR (4) OR MORE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AS MEMBERS, FIXING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS AT FIVE (5) RESIDENTS OF THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR ONE (1) COUNCIL MEMBER SERVING AS AN EX-OFFICIO MEMBER; AND CLARIFYING THAT THE POLICE CHIEF OR HIS DESIGNEE IS TO BE PRESENT IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY AT MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: Subsection 8(a), (b) and (c) of Section 14-69 of the Tamarac City Code are hereby amended to provide as follows: "(8) Appeals from charges of false alarms; Burglar Alarm Review Committee. There is hereby created a Burglar Alarm Review Committee, hereinafter referred to as the Committee, which shall be composed of the following: (a) Piet-4ess-tbaia-feai--�43 Five (5) rflembers-e€-the-pa644e residents of the City, appointed by the City Council, who shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council. (b) One (1) Council member selected by the Mayor to serve as liaison. member. (c) The Police Chief or his designated representative shall be present at all meetings of this Committee in an advisory�c pacity. Each member of the Committee shall be entitled to one (1) vote.,, (d) Same. (e) Same. SECTION 2: That in all other respects Section 14-69 shall remain unchanged SECTION 3: That specific authority is hereby granted to codify this Ordinance.
