AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-34 OF THE
TAMARAC CITY CODE REGARDING SODDING OF CANAL
SLOPES; PROVIDING FOR AN INSPECTION;
PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide a procedure
for the sloping and sodding of canal banks or the
construction of canal seawalls in order to prevent waste in
construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 24-34 of the Tamarac City Code
is hereby amended to provide as follows:
"SEC. 24-34. Construction schedule for canal seawalls
or slopes.
In residential areas, no permits for lots
adjacent to lakes or canals, except for five (5)
model units L and <se -permits> in <etheF-than>
non residential areas, D.Q _Permits for <r-eefing
of--ethe*-> buildings, <will> ghall be issued
before canal seawalls are constructed or canal
slopes are excavated as per the Fexh!6if> jJ111a--
.tration. shown in section 24-32F-r* <and -Bedded*.

SECTION 2 : All Ordinances or part of Ordinances in

conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
,SECTION 3 : Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than
the part declared to be invalid.

SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
