AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE MINIMUM LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS
IN SINGLE FAMILY AND DUPLEX RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICTS AS INCLUDED IN SECTION 6-13(a);
PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING REPEALER;
PROVIDING SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS;

WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac adopted Ordinance 0-82-48
wherein the single family driveway widths were limited to a
maximum of two (2) car spaces in width and in no case could
exceed twenty (20) feet in width along the street right-of-
way; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
reviewed said requirements and has determined that it would
be in the best interests of the City of Tamarac to amend said
restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
5 10-1: Minimum landscaping requirements in
single family and duplex residential districts as included in
Section 6-13(a) is hereby amended by substituting the
following underlined language in lieu of the present
regulations to read as follows:
(a) R-1, R-lC, R-lB, R-2, RM-5, R-D7 Districts.
There shall be a minimum of two (2) trees at least ten (10)
feet high, or three (3) trees at least eight (8) feet high
when planted, per each unit. In addition, the street yard

15 of the Code shall still apply. The remainder of the street
16 yard setback and swale shall be sodded. Minimum requirements
17 may be noted on the site development plan instead of on a
lg separate landscape plan. The location of the trees is at the
19 owner's discretion.
20 SEC ": Specific authority is hereby granted to
71 codify this ordinance.
22 G=DB 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
23 conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
24 Conflict.
25 SZQT1QV-A: Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence
or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
$ be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
