CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. /
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO TAMARAC'S LAND USE PLAN ELEMENT
OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, PROVIDING FOR
ASSEMBLING THE TEXT AND REVISIONS INTO A
SINGLE DOCUMENT WITH AUTHORITY TO RENUMBER.
PAGES AND EDIT SECTIONS AS SHALL BE NECESSARY;
PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE IN-
OORPORATED TEXT AND ITS FILING WITH THE
APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES; PROVIDING FOR SEVER -
ABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 163.31.67(2) of the Florida Statutes requires
Tamarac to prepare and adopt a comprehensive plan in the manner set out in
the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Section 163.3187 of the Florida Statutes permits a
municipality to amend its plan when deemed necessary by the Local Government
through due public notice, and the Broward County Planning Council's rules and
regulation permits a municipality to amend its Land Use Plan Element provided
the Plan receives recertification; and
WHEREAS, Tamarac's Planning Commission acting in its capacity
as the Local Planning Authority has prepared an amendment to Tamarac's Land Use
Plan Element of its Comprehensive Plan and reviewed the proposed amendment at
a public hearing and has recommended adoption to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Broward County Planning Council is required to
review said amendment at a public hearing for unconditional recertification
subject to final adoption by the City Council of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has determined
that the proposed amendment to Tamarac's Land Use Element has been prepared
in accordance with the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975, as
amended and "Notice of Regulation of Land Use" has been properly advertised to

receive maximum public participation in the comprehensive planning process.
NOW, 'I`M11OREI BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the amendment to Tamarac's Land Use Plan dated

Dec.,, 6 ,19 8 4, prepared by the Consultant Planner, attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted as the Amended Land Use Plan Element
of the City of Tamarac's Comprehensive Plan in conformance with the Local
-Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975, as amended, Chapter 163,
Florida Statutes, subject to recertification by the Broward County Planning
Council,
SECTION 2: The Consulting Planner shall be responsible for re-
assembling the Land Use Plan Element with the adopted amendment into a single
document, transmitting a copy of the total document to the Broward County
Planning Council, South Florida Regional Planning Council, Department of
ConT=ity Affairs, Broward County Planning Department, State Library of Florida
and making general copies available for distribution to the public.
SECTION 3: If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Ordinance is held to be invalid or unconstitutional. by any Court of competent
jurisdiction, then said holding shall in no way affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall. become effective immediately upon
recertification by the Broward County Planning Council.

A portion of Tract 21, Florida Fruitlands Company Subdivision No. 2 of Section 33,
Township 48 South, Range 41 East, according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 1 Page 102 of the Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida$ being more
particularly described as follows:
Commence at the Southwest Corner of said Section 33; thence N 01*16112" W, along
the West line of said Section 33, for 146.20 feet: thence N 89'00'58" E, along the -
North Right of Way Line of Southgate Blvd., said line being 180.00 feet South of,
as measured perpendicular to, the South Right of Way line of the South Florida
'Water Management District Canal 14, for a distance of 92.18 feet'�to�the Point of
Beginning of the following described parcel of land; thence N 00 59 02 W for
160.00 feet.; thence N 89'00'58" E. along the South Right of Way line of said
Canal 14 for 700.00 feet; thence S 00'59'02" E for 180.00 feet; thence S 89'00'58" W.
along the North Right of Way line of said Southgate Blvd. for 700.00 feet to the
