AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES,
PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL '
PROPERTY FROM A-1 (LIMITED AGRICULTURE), TO R-3
LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE DWELLING) UNDER THE PRESENT
CITY CODE PROVIDING FOR 34 RESIDENTAL DWELLING
UNITS; IDENTIFIED AS BEING A PORTION OF TRACT 21,
FLORIDA FRUIT LANDS CO. SUBDIVISION NO. 2, RECORDED
IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 102, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH A PORTION
OF TRACTS 3 AND 4, FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK FARMS SUB-
DIVISION, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY,
FLORIDA (OTHERWISE IDENTIFIED AS BEING ON THE SOUTH
SIDE OF SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE
EAST OF Mj 88 AVENUE); PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF
THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO REFLECT SUCH CHANGE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of
the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accord-
ance with the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing
regarding the zoning of the property described herein and the said
public hearing has been held in accordance with the notice and the
public has been given an opportunity to be, and has been heard; and
the Council has examined and investigated the request for the zoning
herein and has received the recommendation of the Planning Commission
of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition 10-Z-84 by
the City Council, pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof and hereby rezoned from A-1 to R-3.
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Tamarac
shall be changed to reflect in the zoning, said changes to be initiated
by the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the effective date of
this Ordinance.
SECTION 3:
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
aerewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance

r any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared

y a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
3
hall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
4
ny part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.

SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective upon

recertification of a Land Use flan Amendment by the Broward County

Planning Council.
