AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 2-47 OF THE
6 CITY CODE, ESTABLISHING THE SISTER CITY
COMMITTEE TO PROMOTE THE SISTER CITY PROGRAM;
7 PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING"
REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF
8 _ INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to designate particular

individuals for coordination of activities between the sister

cities of Tamarac and Kiryat Tivon; and
`�2 WHEREAS, Section 4.08 of the City Charter provides for
13 establishing such committees by ordinance.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 2-47 of the City Code is

SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this ordinance.
BZX'T1S&1_1: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such con-
flict.
SECTJQN 4: Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 50 This Ordinance shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
