CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-84-a2T
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ARMOR PIERCING
AMMUNITION; REPEALING SECTION 17-16 OF THE'
TAMARAC CITY CODE ENTITLED "POSSESSION OF
"KTW BULLETS.""; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE_ pAXZ1 _,_ _
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes 790.31 prohibits the
manufacture, sale or possession of armor piercing ammunition;
and
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes 166.044 bars munici-
palities from adopting any ordinances relating to the posses-
sion or sale of ammunition and any such ordinance in effect
on June 24, 1983 is void.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 17-16 of the Tamarac
City Code entitled "Possession of "KTW Bullets."" is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted
to codify this Ordinance.
SZ_U,14N-3: Should any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, then said holding shall in no way affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTIOV A: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
