ORDINANCE NO. -� w
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-11.2 OF THE
CITY CODE REGARDING ABSENTEEISM OF APPOINTED
MEMBERS OF COMMITTEES AND BOARDS, PROVIDING
FOR CODIFICATION, PROVIDING REPEALER, PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
EELMIL,1.: That Section 2-11.2 of the City Code is
hereby amended to provide the creation of the following
underlined language:
"Sec. 2-11.2. Boards, etc., appointed by
city council to appoint chairman, vice
chairmman annually, "B&D_t2&19R__ Q_

Each ...board, commission or committee whose
members are appointed by the city council
shall annually meet to appoint a chairman and
a vice-chairman. Said selection shall occur
at the next regular meeting after council
action to reappoint or replace members whose
normal term has expired. In the event that
the chairman or vice-chairman ceases to be a
member of the board, commission or committee
during his term of office, the remaining
members shall select a new chairman or vice-
chairman, as appropriate, for the balance of
the term. -five

SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted
to codify this Ordinance.
SECT QN 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of
this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph,
sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent juris-
diction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as -a whole or any part here-
of, other than the part declared to be invalid.
G�CTJQ�: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage and shall govern all ap-
provals.
