AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES, PROVIDING
FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM RM-10

(PLANNED APARTMENTS) TO S-1 (OPEN SPACE/RECREATION); SAID

LANDS BEING A PORTION OF PARCEL "A" OF "THE MAINLANDS OF
TAMARAC LAKES UNIT FIFTEEN", AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 71,
PAGE 3, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA

IDENTIFIED AS BEING THE RECREATION AREA FOR A

PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT TO BE KNOWN AS TAMARAC

POINT AND LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 200-FEET EAST OF THE VANGUARD
VILLAGE CLUBHOUSE); PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL

ZONING MAP TO REFLECT SUCH CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;

AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

11 WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of
12 he City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accordance
13 ith the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing regardinc
14 a zoning of the property described herein and the said public hearing
15 as been held in accordance with the notice and the public has been
iven an opportunity to be, and has been heard; and the Council has
16
amined and investigated the request for the zoning herein and has
17
ceived the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of
18
fmarac; and
19
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition 13-Z-84 by
20
e City Council, pursuant to the Charter.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
22
7AMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A" attached
24
hereto and made a part hereof are hereby reooned from RM-10 to S-1.
25
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Tamarac
26
all be changed to reflect in the zoning, said changes to be initialed
27
by the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the effective date of
28
is Ordinance.

SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
30
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance

or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared
2
a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
3
s all not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or

y part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
5
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
6
on its final passage.
