AN 01DINANCE RELATING TO SHE ADCPTICN CF AN
AMENDMENT TO TAMARAC' S LAND USE PLAN ELEMENT
OF THE 00UPREHENSIVE PLAN REGARDING A PARCEL
OF LAND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WESTWOOD
DRIVE, APPROXIMATELY 400-FEET EAST OF
NOB HILL ROAD; PROVIDING FOR ASSEMBLING
OF TEXT AND REVISIONS INTO A SINGLE
DOCUMENT WITH AUTHORITY TO RENUMBER PAGES
AND EDIT SECTIONS AS SHALL BE NECESSARY
PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE
INCORPORATED TEXT AND ITS FILING WITH THE
APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Tamarad to prepare and adopt a comprehensive plan in the manner set out in
the Local Government Cmprehensive Planning Act of M5, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Section 163.3187 of the Florida Statutes permits a
municipality to amend its plan when deemed necessary by the Local Government
through due public notice, and the Broward County Planning Council's rules and
regulation permits a municipality to amend its Land Use Plan Element provided
the Plan receives recertification; and
WHEREAS, Tamarac's Planning Commission acting in its capacity
as the Local Planning Authority has prepared an amendment to Tamarac's Land.Use
Plan Element of its Canprehensive Plan and reviewed the proposed amendment at
a public hearing and has recommended adoption to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Braward County Planning Council is required to
review said amendment at.a public hearing for unconditional recertification
subject to final adoption by the City Council of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has determined
that the proposed amendment to Tamarac's Land Use Element has been prepared
in accordance with the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975, as
amended and "Notice of Regulation of Land Use" has been properly advertised to
receive maximum public participation in the comprehensive planning process.

NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the amendment to Tamarac's Land Use
(ie-fiser`teeF-arfer Dec. 6, 1984
Plan dated weceft+f - t+&n) , prepared by the Consultant Planner,
regarding a parcel of land on the north side of Westwood Drive,
approximately 400 feet East of Nob Hill Road, attached hereto -..as
Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted as the Amended Land Use Plan Element
of the City of Tamarac"s Comprehensive Plan in conformance with the
Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975, as amended,
Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, subject to recertification by the
Broward County Planning Council.
SECTICN 2: M3-- Consulting Planner shall be responsible for re-
assembling the land Use Plan Element with the adopted amendment into a single
document, transmitting a copy of the total document to the Broward County
Planning Council, South Florida Regional Planning Council, Department of
Community Affairs, Broward County planning Department, State Library of Florida
and making general copies available for distribution to the public.
SECTICN 3: If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Ordinance is held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any Court of competent
jurisdiction, then said holding shall in no way affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SWrICN 4: Tliis Ordinance shall became effective immediately
upon recertification 'by the Broward County Planning Cotwcil.
