ORDINANCE NO. 0- -_597
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES, PROVIDING FOR
THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM I-1 (INSTITUTIONAL)
TO.-R-4A (PLANNED APARTMENT DISTRICT); BEING A. PORTION OF..
FLORIDA FRUIT LANDS COMPANY'S SUBDIVISION NO. 2, AS RECORDED
IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 102, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF PALM BEACH
COUNTY, FLORIDA (OTHERWISE IDENTIFIED AS BEING THOSE LANDS ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF WESTWOOD DRIVE, APPROXIMATELY 400-FEET EAST
-OF N-08 HILL READ); PROVIDING -FOR PMENDMFNT OF THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP TO REFLECT SUCH CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of
he City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accordance
14 ith the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing regardin
15 he zoning of the property described herein and the said public hearing
164as been held in accordance with the notice and the public has been
17 iven an opportunity to be, and has been heard; and the Council has
18 xamined and investigated the request for the zoning herein and has
19 eceived the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of
20 amarac; and
21 WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition 8`Z-84 by
22 he City Council, pursuant to the Charter.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
24J[AMARAC, FLORIDA:
25 SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A" attached
26 ereto and madq a Dart hereof are hereby rpmnnPd from I-1 to R-4A under
Ithe present City Code as may be amended from time to time.
27 1 SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Tamarac
28 hall be changed to reflect in the zoning, said changes to be initialed
29 y the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the effective date of

SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
ith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declAre
by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
any part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 5• This Ordinance snail become effective upon recertification
of a land Use Plan Amendment by the Broward County Planning Council.
