CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0--84--&J
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 9--41 OF THE TAMA-
RAC CITY CODE PROVIDING FOR THE CITY COUNCIL
TO AUTHORIZE A PUBLICLY NOTICED AUCTION OF
SURPLUS CITY EQUIPMENT; PROVIDING FOR CODI-
FICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PRQY1DINQ A F E DATES,_,___
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to
provide a means for the disposition of surplus or obsolete
equipment and materials owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, the use of publicly noticed auction will
provide some reimbursement while efficiently disposing of
such surplus.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
aBC2JDJ_,_J: That Section 9-41 of the Tamarac City
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 9-41 SURPLUS STOCK
Ja UsingAg�ncv��p4�ts. All using agencies
shall submit to the city manager or such employee designated
by him at such times and in such form as he shall prescribe,
reports showing stocks of all supplies which are no longer
used or which have become obsolete, worn out or scrapped.
The purchasing officer shall have the authority to transfer
surplus stock to other using agencies.

SECTIQi2: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this ordinance.
Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than
the part declared to be invalid.
