AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-10 OF THE

CITY CODE REPEALING THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE
REDISTRICTING REPORT BE ADOPTED AS A CITY
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF

INVALID PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE

WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Sec. 2-10 of
10
the City Code to conform with the redistricting provision of
11
Sec. 6.03 of the City Charter; and
12
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to clarify that there
13
shall only be one set of districts for all municipal pur-
14
poses.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
16
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

H-CTIQN 1: That Sec. 2-10 of the City Code is hereby
18
amended to provide as follows:
19
"Sec. 2-10. <-Ge, -I> District boundaries.
20
The district boundaries of the city
21
shall be determined <--or-d4Trafkee--t-c-&> in
22
accordance with the Charter. A <t -&f--&a34-
23
map depicting, graphically, the
24
various district boundaries shall be kept in the
25
official records of the city clerk."

-EQTI4N-2: Should any section or provision of this
27
ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or
28
word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
29
invalid such decision shall not affect the validity of the
r
30
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.

Specific authority is hereby granted to
33
codify this ordinance.

OJECT1QN1 4: This ordinance shall become effective upon
adoption.
