AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SUBSECTION -
18-5(12) "AMOUNT OF OFF-STREET PARKING RE-
QUIRED" FOR "CLUBS, COMMUNITY CENTERS OR
RECREATION CENTERS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE (NO
FIXED SEATS), COMMERCIAL SPAS"; AMENDING CITY
CODE SUBSECTION 18-5(41-b) "AMOUNT OF OFF
STREET PARKING REQUIRED" FOR "RESIDENTIAL
USES" FOR "MULTIPLE -FAMILY DWELLINGS (THREE
OR MORE UNITS)"; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION;
PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND

WHEREAS, the Tamarac Planning Commission has determined
the need to revise Tamarac's present parking standards for
commercial spas, and multi -family dwellings; and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac City Council has reviewed the
recommendations of the Planning Commission and has
determined at a public hearing the need to revise the
applicable sections of Tamarac's City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
That Subsection 18-5(12), of the Tamarac
City Code is hereby amended to provide as follows:
"Sec. 18-5. Amount of off-street parking required.
The off-street parking required by this chapter
shall be provided and maintained on the basis of the
following minimum requirements:

(12) Clubs, community centers or recreation
centers, public and private (no fixed seats),
1 space per 150 square feet of floor area.
_.B_CT1pN�: That Subsection 18--5(41-b) of the Tamarac
City Code is hereby amended to provide as follows:
"Sec. 18-5. Amount of off --street parking required.
The off-street parking required by this chapter
shall be provided and maintained on the basis of
the following minimum requirements:

In addition to the requirements set forth for
8 townhouses and multiple -family dwellings, an
additional 10% of the required spaces shall be

posted on the parking spaces for guest use only10

15 codify this Ordinance.
16 5� All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
17 such conflict.
18 BECT10N--5-x Should any section or provision of
this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph,
19 sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent juris-
diction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
20 validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part
hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
21 5=_QN .6.I. This Ordinance shall be efffective immed-
22 iately for all developments that have not yet submitted a
concept site plan for staff review by the City. Of those
concept site plans already submitted for such staff review,
23 this ordinance shall not apply if final site plan approval is
24 obtained from the City Council by September 25, 1985.
