CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-85-
AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ADMINISTRATION OF CITY
COUNCIL BUSINESS, AMENDING SECTION 2-11.4 OF
THE TAMARAC CITY CODE ENTITLED "LIAISON
POSITIONS"; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF
INVALID PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICA-

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAM-

ARAC, FLORIDA:
SEC UDI _1: That Section 2-11.4 of the Tamarac City Code

is hereby amended to provide as follows:

"Sec. 2-11.4. City Council liaison positions.

to the position of liaison to a city committee, a city

deparMgnt or a governmental entity outside the city.

The <e+tp-e0Unei1-> Mayo may also designate a liaison to

a special project. Only the mayor or a council member
19
may serve in a liaison position and may hold more than
20
one (1) liaison position. The designation of liaison
21
shall be at the pleasure of the <eettnerl> mayor for a
22
period of time not to extend past the next city

The designation of a liaison member may be

withdrawn or changed at any time by the <eettrteil> mayor

without cause. Designations of liaisons shall be <15,p

city clerk. No council liaison shall have a vote on any
city committee nor serve as chairman or vice-chairman of
any committee unless otherwise provided by law. The

city council may adopt by resolution additional

guidelines regarding liaison positions, not in conflict

with this section."

SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence
or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as whole or any part hereof, other than
the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION__3: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.

PASSED SECOND READING this -A day of _April 1985.
