CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-85-z.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-2 AND SECTION
3-3 OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE REGULATING HOURS
OF SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; CREATING
SECTION 3-5 OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE PROVID-
ING FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT UPON CERTAIN CONDI--:
TIONS ALLOWING EXTENDED HOURS FOR ON PREMISES
SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFI CATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF
INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that neighboring
cities have legislated extended hours for the on -premises
sale of alcoholic beverages; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the following changes to
Chapter 3 of the City Code to be in the best interests of the
residents of Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECT1ON 1: That Section 3--2 of the Tamarac City Code is
hereby amended to provide as follows:
"Sec. 3-2. Off-p_rgMj_*..Qz sale, etc., prohibited during
certain hours <---6errera-13r>.
No person, vendor or distributor who holds a liquor
license or a beer and wine license, or is the agent of
such person, shall sell or offer for sale or deliver any
liquor, beer or wine by package, bottle or container,

hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m."
SECTION-2: That Section 3-3 of the Tamarac City Code is
hereby amended to provide as follows:
"Sec. 3-3. -em i re-s-off ate c��T- ins i-bike-r-,
No person, vendor or distributor who holds a liquor
license or a beer and wine license, or is the agent of
such person, shall sell or offer for sale or deliver or
serve or permit to be consumed upon the premises of such
person, vendor or distributor, any liquor, beer or wine,
regardless of the amount of the alcoholic content, on
any day between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m."

.SE TION 4: Specific authority is hereby granted to
I codify this Ordinance.
2 SECTION 5: should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence
33 or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
34 the remainder hereof as whole or any part hereof, other than
the part declared to be invalid.
