Ord. #1210 2 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA 3 ORDINANCE NO. 0-85- Z. 4 5 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19-1.2(P) OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE; CHANGING THE COMPOSI- TION OF THE EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINIS- TRATIVE BOARD; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND 8 PROVIDING AN EFFE���,y D�TEs___,_.� 9 10 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAM- 11 ARAC, FLORIDA: 12 SECTION-1: That Section 19-1.2(P) of the Tamarac City 13 Code is hereby amended to provide as follows: 14 15 P 16 1. Composition. The general administration and 17 responsibility for the proper operation of the 16 retirement plan and for making effective the provisions of this article are hereby vested in Administrative Board consisting of 21 <"efigt-J-81-> voting members and four__14 <th*ee- 22 -gi4 alternate members as follows: 23 24 One (1) Member and one (1) alternate Member 25 fro the agPVxY_iB4rY..A. 26 Qn �B �1�_ � 1 <geae7Fa4;- employees 27 duly elected by «fie-Mei:nbe -e� 2 6 29 30 O�►g_i11 M����_�B�_Q3_11_gla�_►kz._� 34 One (1) Police Officer and one (1) alternate -1- VU Temp. Ord. #1210 Police Officer duly elected by the Police Members. One (1) Firefighter and one (1) alternate Fire- fighter duly elected by the Fire Members. One (1) Mayor. One (1) City Manager or his Designee. One (1) Director of Finance. One (1) Member designated by the Charter Board. One (1) Trustee. The alternate members may vote in the absence of the regular member. The alternate member shall be elected for the same term as the regular member. 2. (Same.) 3. Voting Procedures. The Board shall organize itself, electing a Chairman, a Vice -Chairman and a Secretary. Each Member shall be entitled to one (1) vote on the Board. A majority vote of those present, where a quorum is in attendance, shall be necessary for a decision at any meeting of the Board. The Chairman shall have the right to one (1) vote only. A quorum shall consist of fime_ (5) «au-r-444> Members. Any Member who neglects the duties of his office as determined by the Board may be removed by a two-thirds vote of the Board. 4. (Same.) 5. SECTION___: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. 5.QT1QN__4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph; sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
