AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
REPEALING CODE SECTION 2-28(a)and(b) WHICH
CREATES THE WELCOMING COMMITTEE AND ESTAB-
LISHED ITS FUNCTONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
AMENDING CODE SECTION 2-7 PUBLIC INFORMATION
COMMITTEE BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION (c) AS
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING ORDI-
NANCES REPEALED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
believes that it would be in the best interests of the City
to merge the functions of the Public Information Committee
and the Welcoming Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
,SECTION 1: Code Section 2-28(a)and(b) which creates
the Welcoming Committee and established its functions and
responsibilities is hereby repealed.
�FCT N Section 2-7 of the City Code is amended by
adding a new subsection (c) as follows:

aE__.CTIDN__-3-: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
SECTION A: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such con-
flict.
,qECTION,_.,_5: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than
the part declared to be invalid.
3ZT R___6 : That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
