CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0--86-cU_
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
REPEALING CODE SECTION 2-29 WHICH CREATES THE
VETERANS AFFAIR COMMITTEE AND ESTABLISHING ITS
POWERS AND DUTIES; AMENDING CODE SECTION 18A-9
BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION (4) WHICH ADDS THE
DUTY TO PROMOTE VETERANS AFFAIRS TO THE RECREA-
TION BOARD; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR CONFLICTING ORDINANCES REPORTED; AND
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it desirable to vest
within the recreation board those functions previously
carried on by the Veterans Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
,,gB_Q_TJQJL_J: City Code Section 2--29 creating the Veterans
Affairs Committee and establishing its powers and duties is
hereby repealed.
,SECT_JQjLZ: City Code Section 18A--9 is hereby amended to
add a new subsection (4) which shall read as follows:
(4) Promot„Dd��,����_a�aP ong_v�terans_o,
otism,
SECTQT: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
5Z_QT1QN__4: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
5E9TI-0- 5: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
