AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, BEAUTIFI-
CATION, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE.
CITY OF TAMARAC; PROVIDING FOR A DEFINI-
TION OF THE TERM "BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE";
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ARTICLE 2,
BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE, OF CHAPTER 6 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES REPEALED; AND PROVIDING AN
FF E DATE,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it desirable to vest
within the City's Planning Commission those functions pre-
viously carried on by the Beautification Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION __10. That Chapter 6, Beautification, of the
City's Code of Ordinances shall be amended at Section 6-1,
Objective and Definitions, so as to provide a definition for
the terms "Beautification Committee" which shall read as
follows:
Section 6-1. Objective and Definitions . . .
(B) DEFINITIONS - In construing the provisions hereof in
each and every word, term, phrase or part thereof,
where the context will permit, the definitions
provided in Section 1.01, Florida Statutes, and the
following definitions shall apply: . . .
(9) BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE - This term, where
ever stated within this Chapter, shall refer to the
City of Tamarac Planning Commission established
pursuant to Article 3, Chapter 28, of this Code.
SECTION 2: That Article II, Beautification Committee,
of Chapter 6, Beautification, of the City's Code of
Ordinances shall hereby be repealed.

SECTION —1: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
N : All Ordinances or parts of Ordinance in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION__-.5.: Should any Section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence
or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of
the remainder hereof as whole or any part hereof, other than
the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION_6: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
