3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL GENERAL FUND BUD-
GET FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC (ORDINANCE NO. 85-45)
4 FROM AN AMOUNT OF $10,037,999.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED $10,489,669.00 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR -
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1985; PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN
AUTHORITY OF .THE CITY MANAGER TO MARE INTRA-
6 DEPARTMENT FUND TRANSFERS WITHIN EXPENDITURE
CATEGORIES; PROVIDING FOR MODIFICATION BY CITY
7 COUNCIL; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING
g AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

10 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted its General Fund Budget
11 in Ordinance No. 85-45; and
12 WHEREAS, the Council after considering recommendations of
13 the City Manager determines that an amendment will be in the
14 best interest of the City.
15 NOW, THEREFORE,_ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TAMARAC,
16FLORIDA:
17 SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund Budget of
is estimated expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning
19 October 1, 1985, as adopted in Ordinance No. 85-45 reflecting
20
total revenues and expenditures of $10,037,999.00, is amended to 21reflect total revenues and_ expenditures of $10,489,669.00 as set
forth 'in Exhibit 1 attached hereto and made a part hereof as
22
ally as if set forth herein, be, and the same is hereby adopted
23
24 nd approved by the Council of the City Tamarac as the budget of
he City of Tamarac for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
25
985. Also adopted by reference as a part of said budget is the
26
27 udget detail dated May, 1986, which sets forth each line item
'n the amended budget.

29 SECT-O-T 2: The City Council is authorized to make buclget
30 djustment between the respective categories set forth in
31 xhibit 1 by Motion as it may deem necessary and proper. Each
32 otion shall provide the amount, name and line item number the
ransfer is made from, and the amount, name and line item number
33
onies are transferred to. Each Motion shall also include the
34
glance in each line item affected by the amen-dment before and
fter amendment is made.

2 SECTIONS : The City Manager is authorized to make intra-

3 department fund transfers within a budget category, but inter-
4 department transfers are to be made only as provided in Section
S 2 above. Each intea-•department fund transfer shall be in
6 writing. It shall set forth the amount, name and line item
7 number the transfer is made from and the amount, name and line
9 item number the transfer is made to. Each such transfer shall
9 also set forth the balance in each line item affected by the
1p transfer before and after the transfer is made.
11 SECTIO-N 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
12 instructed to forward to the Property Appraiser of Broward
13 county a certified copy of this Ordinance.
14 SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
1S instructed to forward to the Department of Revenue and to the
16 Comptroller of the State of Florida a certified copy of this
17 .Ordinance.
1g The City Clerk is authorized and instructed
19 to keep a copy of this Ordinance and the budget provided for
20 herein in the permanent files of the City of Tamarac.
21 SECTION 7; All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in con-
22 flirt herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such con-
23 flirt.
24 SECTION8: Should any section or provision of this
25 Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or
26 word be declared by a Court.of competent jurisdiction to be
27 invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
29 remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the
29 part declared to be invalid.
