Ord. #1262 Rev. 5/19/86 Rev. 5/21/86 Rev. 5/22/86 2 .w CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA 3 � ORDINANCE NO. 0-86- 3 / AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL SPECIAL FUNDS 5 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC (ORDINANCE NO. 85-48) FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER a 1, 1985 FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF $134,000.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO 7 EXCEED $93,992.00; TAMARAC WILDLIFE PRESERVE FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF -0- TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO 8 EXCEED $9,200.00; SIDEWALK PROJECT FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF $3,600.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO 9 EXCEED $36,000.00; STREET RESURFACING FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF $113,000.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT 10 TO EXCEED $113,500.00; CAPITAL RESERVE FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF $350,740.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT 11 TO EXCEED $404,420.00; PENSION FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF -0-- TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 12 $38,000.00; AND FIRST AID CLAIMS FUND FROM AN AMOUNT OF $1,500.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO 13 EXCEED $5,000.00 PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN AUTHORITY OF THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE INTRA-- 14 DEPARTMENT FUND TRANSFERS WITHIN EXPENDITURE CATEGORIES; PROVIDING FOR MODIFICATION BY CITY 15 COUNCIL; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND 16 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 17 is WHEREAS, the City Council adopted its Special Funds Budget 19 in Ordinance No. 85-48; and 20 WHEREAS, the Council after considering recommendations of 21 the City Manager determines that an amendment will be in the 22 best interest of the City. 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, 24 FLORIDA: 25 SECTION 1: That the annual Budgets for FY 1985/86 as 26 adopted in Ordinance 85-48 for the following Funds are hereby 27 amended as follows: 28 PREVIOUSLY BUDGETED NEW BUDGET 29 Parks and Recreation Fund - $134,000.00 $ 93,992.00 Tamarac Wildlife Preserve - - 0 - 9,200.00 30 Sidewalk Project Fund-- 3,600.00 36,000.00 Street Resurfacing Fund- 113,000.00 113,500.00 31 Capital Reserve Fund- 350,740.00 404,420.00 Pension Fund- - 0 - 38,000.00 32 First Aid Claims Fund- 1,500.00 5,000.00 33 Also adopted by reference as a part of said budget is the budget 34 detail dated May, 1986, which sets forth each line item in the amended budget. 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 Temp. Ord. #1262 Rev. 5/19/86 Rev. 5/21/86 SECTION 2: The City Council is authorized to make budget adjustment between the respective categories set forth in Exhibit 1 by Motion as it may deem necessary and proper. Each motion shall provide the amount, name and line item number the transfer is made from, and the amount, name and line item number monies are transferred to. Each Motion shall also include the balance in each line item affected by the amendment before and after amendment is made. SECTION 3: The City Manager is authorized to make antra -department fund transfers within a budget category, but inter -department transfers are to be made only as provided in Section 2 above. Each intea-department fund transfer shall be in writing. It shall set forth the amount, name and line item number the transfer is made from and the amount, name and line item number the transfer is made to. Each such transfer shall also set forth the balance in each line item affected by the transfer before and after the transfer is made. SECTION 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to forward to the Property Appraiser of Sroward County a certified copy of this Ordinance. SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to forward to the Department of Revenue and to the Comptroller of the State of Florida a certified copy of this Ordinance. SECTION 6: The City Clerk is authorized and instructed to keep a copy of this Ordinance and the budget provided for herein in the permanent files of the City of Tamarac. Ord. #1262 Rev. 5/19/86 Rev. 5/21/86 SECTION 8: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid. SECTION 9: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its final passage.
