CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-91-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES,
PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FROM R-1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
TO B-1 (NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS) TO CONFORM TO
THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN AND CITY OF
TAMARAC CODE OF ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING THE
USE OF COMMERCIAL FLEXIBILITY IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE PLAN; LANDS DESCRIBED AS ACREAGE -IN
17-49-42 ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF COMMERCIAL
BOULEVARD AND NW 25 TERRACE (OTHERWISE IDENTI-
FIED AS STOP AND SHOP AT 2550 W. COMMERCIAL
BOULEVARD); PETITIONER: CITY OF TAMARAC;
PETITION #2-Z-91; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF
CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING--AN--EFFECTIVE -HATE. ------
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of
the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in
accordance with the applicable law of the time and place of
public hearing regarding the zoning of the property described
herein and the said public hearing has been held in accordance
with the notice and the public has been given an opportunity to
be, and has been heard; and the Council has examined and
investigated the request for the zoning herein and has received
the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of
Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition #2-Z-91
by the City Council pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION ---I: That those lands •described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereto are hereby rezoned from
R-1 (Single Family Residential) to B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to
conform to the Broward County Land Use Plan and City of Tamarac
Code of Ordinances; Petitioner: City of Tamarac.
SECTION,-2: That the City Council authorizes the use of
Commercial Flexibility in accordance with all rules and regula-
tions of the Comprehensive Plan.

SECTION--3: That the official zoning map of the City of
Tamarac shall be changed to reflect such zoning, said changes to
be initialed by the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the
effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION----4: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION-----5. Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION--6: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
