CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0--91-31
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
CREATING SECTION 2.3 OF THE CITY CODE "CITY
HALL VISITORS" PROHIBITING ANY PERSON NOT
EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF TAMARAC FROM ENTER-
ING ANY UNOCCUPIED CITY OFFICE EXCEPT THOSE
AREAS DESIGNATED FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC
WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION FROM AN OFFICER OF
THE CITY, OR A DEPARTMENT HEAD OR HIS DEPUTY
AND WHO IS CONDUCTING CITY BUSINESS;
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City Council to
impose reasonable restrictions upon access to the offices of
the City by the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : There is hereby created a new section of
the Tamarac City Code, Section 2.3, to be entitled "City Hall.
Visitors" and to read in full as fol.lows:
Section 2.3, City Hall. Visitors. , No person, other than
City Em l.o ees.or City Council Members, ma enter any unoccu-
pied_portion of any office of the City of Tamarac which is
not designated for thegeneral. ubl.ic. However, this shall
not a2ply to any person who has received rior ermission to
do so from a City Officer or from a department head or his
deputy and who is conducting business with the City.
-Any person convicted of violation of this Section shall
be unished b a fine not exceeding One Hundred ( 100.00
SECTION 2 : Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
SECTION 3 : A11, ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.

SECTION 4 : If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall. not affect other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this end
the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable
SECTION 5 This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon adoption and passage.
