Ord. #� CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA ORDINANCE NO. 0-92-�a; AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 6, "FINANCE AND TAXATION', ARTICLE V, "PURCHASING PROCEDURES', SECTION 6-147, "WHEN COMPETITIVE BIDDING REQUIRED" BY INCREASING THE THRESHOLD AMOUNT FOR COMPETITIVE BIDDING FROM TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00) TO TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00); PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR WHEREAS, the voters of the City of Tamarac authorized a change in the City Charter which increased the threshold amount for competitive bidding from two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) to ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00); and WHEREAS, -it is now appropriate to conform the City Code to the provisions of the Charter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTIQN The City Code of the City of Tamarac, Florida, Chapter 6, •Finance and Taxation", Article V, "Purchasing Procedures", Section 6-147, "When Competitive Bidding Required" is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 6-147. When competitive bidding required. All contracts for the purchase of capital equipment, and for improvement and construction contracts of any type, available from more than one (1) source that cannot be performed with city personnel and involving dollar values in excess of *wed thousand (42r04"Q) 1 U-0. 000.00 ) dollars shall be entered into after competitive bidding. Ord. # I '5R I SECT19N 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify this Ordinance. LION All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.
