ORDINANCE NO. 0-92-.�C
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION",
SECTION 2-2 ENTITLED "TRAVEL ALLOWANCES",
INCREASING MILEAGE ALLOWANCE TO THE AMOUNT
ALLOWABLE FOR DEDUCTION AS SET BY THE INTERNAL
REVENUE SERVICE; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION;
PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held pursuant to Chapter
166 of the Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interests of citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to
increase the mileage allowance to Twenty -Seven and One -Half Cents
($0.275) per mile or the amount allowable for deduction as set by
the Internal Revenue Service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
,a'CTION 1_;- That the foregoing whereas clauses are hereby
ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and hereby made a
specific part of this Ordinance upon adoption hereof.
sEcTI That the Tamarac Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended by revising Section 2-2 "Travel Allowances", as follows: -
section 2-2. Travel Allowances.
Travel allowances are as follows:
(4) Transportation.
C. Whenever travel is by privately owned
vehicle, the traveler shall be entitled
to a mileage allowance of t

Specific authority is hereby granted to codify
this -Ordinance.
gECTION 4: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict•
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of this Ordinance that can be given affect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this
Ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
