CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-92-.50
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.
89-14, AS CODIFIED IN CHAPTER 2 OF THE TAMARAC
CITY CODE, ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION", SECTION
2-1, ENTITLED "DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES", ELIMINATING THE POSITION OF
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on April 12, 1989, the Tamarac City Council passed
Ordinance No. 89-14, providing for the establishment of Director
of Development Services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
determined it is in the best interest of the citizens and
residents of the City of Tamarac to abolish the position of
Director of Development Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTIM 1: That the Tamarac Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended by repealing Ordinance No. 89-14, as codified in Section
l 2-1:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC; AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE TAMARAC
CITY CODE ENTITLED "LICENSE AND BUSINESS
REGULATION," ARTICLE II ENTITLED "OCCUPATIONAL
LICENSES"; SECTION 12-30 ENTITLED "LOCATION OF
BUSINESS; APPLICABILITY OF ZONING REGULATIONS"
BY AMENDING SECTION 12-30 (e)(1.)(vii) TO REVISE
FIRE REQUIREMENTS; AND (viii) TO CREATE AN
ANNUAL FIRE INSPECTION FEE; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
implemented an ordinance requiring fire extinguishers be located on
premises, which have approved occupational licenses for residential
use; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshall has proposed upgraded fire
extinguishers to benefit the residents of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to incorporate the upgraded
standards into this Ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 12-30 (e)(1) of the Tamarac Code of
Ordinances is amended as follows:
(vii) Single-family and owner -occupied duplex
residential structures, utilized for occupational uses
pursuant to section 12-2(i`(a) 12-30 of this chapter,
shall comply with residential smoke detector
