CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0-93.�
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 10,
"LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS", ARTICLE IV,
"STANDARD AND CRITERIA" BY AMENDING SECTION
10-124 "SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL" TO INCLUDE THE
CITY'S RIGHT TO DESIGNATE CURBSIDE AND/OR
DUMPSTER SOLID WASTE SERVICE FOR MULTI-
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL UNITS AND TO INCLUDE
RECYCLING DUMPSTERS FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL
PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING
FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;

WHEREAS, pursuant to their instruction from the City Manager, an
investigation of solid waste policies for multi -family units in comparable
cities; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has
determined that the existing City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances should be
amended to address multi -family solid waste service as part of the
development plan review; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, finds
the aforementioned change in the best interest of the City; and
WHEREAS, The City finds that the proposed change aids in their
implementation of Goals, Objectives and Policies of the Tamarac
Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Section 10-124 is amended as follows:

SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or part of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such confilct.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstances is held invalid, such validity shall
not affect other provision or application of this Ordinance that
can be affect with to the invalid provisions or application; and
to this end the provision of this Ordinance are declared to be
severable.
SECTION,,: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
adoption and passage.
