CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. O-94- ry
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 5 "BUILDINGS
AND BUILDING REGULATIONS", ARTICLE V "IRRIGATION",
BY ADDING SECTION 5-104 "AUTOMATIC OVERRIDE ON
SPRINKLERS" PROVIDING FOR OVERRIDES ON SPRINKLER
SYSTEMS BY AMENDING ARTICLE IX "PLUMBING", BY ADDING
SECTION 5-170 "WATER CONSERVATION"; PROVIDING FOR
REGULATION OF SPRINKLERS AND PLUMBING FIXTURES FOR
WATER CONSERVATION; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Tamarac to promote the
health, safety and welfare of existing and future residents of the City by
supporting methods to conserve water usage; and
WHEREAS, the use of certain types of plumbing fixtures and
fittings will reduce average water consumption; and
WHEREAS, provisions are made for, conservation of water to meet
South Florida Water Management District standards;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Tamarac, Florida that:
SECDON 1: Chapter 5, Article V, of the Tamarac City Code is hereby
amended the adding of Section 5-104 "Automatic Override" as follows:

SECTION 3: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify this
Ordinance.
SF.QTIQLI 4: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
STIQN 5: If any provision of this Ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Ordinance that
can be given affect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
