CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 95- 03
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE
TAMARAC CITY CODE ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION" BY
REPEALING SECTION 2-30, ENTITLED "CONTRIBUTIONS
TO PRIVATE CHARITABLE AND SERVICE
ORGANIZATIONS"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes the many contributions and services
provided by numerous organizations in the City and surrounding area; and
WHEREAS, making contributions to private charitable and service organizations
in the City of Tamarac and Broward County is an area of interest to the City Commission
of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac City Commission may want to allocate funding to
community service organizations that provide services to citizens of Tamarac in lieu of the
City of Tamarac providing for those services; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed the City Code and recommends that
the Tamarac Code provisions regarding the Commission's ability to provide funds to
private charitable organizations and other private service organizations and other private
service organizations be repealed; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City Tamarac deems it to be in the best
interest of the residents of the City of Tamarac to repeal the Tamarac Municipal ordinance
regarding contributions to private charitable and service organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1_ That the foregoing Whereas clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Ordinance
upon adoption hereof.
SECTION 2: That Tamarac City Code, Chapter 2, Article 2-30 entitled
"Contributions to Private Charitable and Service Organizations" is repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
ON 4: If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions
or applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5: Should any section or provision of this ordinance, or any
portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof,
as a whole or part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.

SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect
immediately upon its passage and final adoption.
