CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 95-04
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 2, OF THE
TAMARAC CITY CODE ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION" BY
REPEALING SECTION 2-2, ENTITLED "TRAVEL
ALLOWANCES"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
ATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission have directed that the City Code be
reviewed for provisions that may be outdated, cumbersome, or unnecessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed the City Code in part and has
suggested a number of changes including the repeal of Chapter 2, Section 2-2, "Travel
Allowances", and further recommended that the staff travel be the responsibility of the City
Manager consistent with an administrative travel policy promulgated by the City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SEC ]QN 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Ordinance
upon adoption hereof.

SECTION 2: That Tamarac City Code Article 2-2 of Chapter 2, entitled
"Travel Allowances" is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTIQN 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions
or applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect without the invalid provision of
application, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5: Should any section or provision of this ordinance, or any
portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof,
as a whole or part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect
immediately upon its passage and final adoption.
