Variance Request: Section 18-65(a)(1), Code of Ordinances: 1. Variance from Section 18-65 (a) (1) to allow for one (1) additional monument sign where only one sign is permitted per street frontage. The City Commission of the City of Tamarac has identified that the properties located within the existing Publix at Sunshine Plaza Shopping Center, Tamarac, Florida (the "Properties") are located in the B-2, Planned Community Business District, and following consideration of all testimony and evidence presented at the hearing on June 28, 2017, the Board finds as follows: 1. The Sign Variance is not contrary to the public interest. 2. Special conditions did not result from the actions of the applicant. 3. Literal enforcement of the provisions of the sign code regulations may result in an unnecessary hardship. 4. The Public Record, including sworn testimony and evidence established before and presented to the City Commission on June 28, 2017 is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part hereof. Pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 18-42 and 2-369 of the City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances, the Applicants' request for Variance approval as outlined is hereby GRANTED.
