Any member of the public may speak to any issue that is not agendized for public hearing at this
meeting. Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item and at public hearings. There
will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate time limit for this item, and speakers are encouraged to
sign up in advance with the City Clerk prior to their participation.
When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be heard during
a quasi-judicial hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF TIME ALLOCATIONS -MOTIONS TO TABLE
The Chair at this time will announce those items that have been given a specific time to be heard,
and will entertain motions from the Commission members to table those items that require
research. The Commission may agendize by majority consent matters of an urgent nature which
have come to the Commission's attention after publication.
CONSENT AGENDA
Items listed under Consent Agenda are viewed to be routine and the recommendation will be
enacted by ONE MOTION in the form listed below. If discussion is desired, then, in accordance
with Resolution 2003-15, Sec. 4.5, the item(s) will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will
be considered separately.
a. Approval of the August 22, 2018 Regular Commission Meeting Minutes
Approval of the August 22, 2018 Regular Commission Meeting Minutes. Item deferred to the September
26, 2018 Regular Commission Meeting.
b. TR 13155 - BID AWARD 18-20RB Culvert Cleaning
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, Awarding Bid No. 18-20RB to and
approving an Agreement with TV Diversified, LLC for Citywide Storm Drain Pipe and Culvert Cleaning;
authorizing an expenditure from the appropriate accounts not to exceed the approved budget annually for
said purpose; effective upon approval through September 11, 2021; authorizing proper City Officials to
execute contract renewals; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective
date.
c. TR13170 - Addendum to the BSO Agreement for an additional SRO
A Resolution by the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida Approving the Fifth Amendment to the
Law Enforcement Services Agreement Between the City of Tamarac and the Broward Sheriffs Office;
Authorizing the Appropriate City Officials to Execute the Fifth Amendment to the Agreement for Police
Services; Providing for Conflicts; Providing for Severability and Providing for an Effective Date.

d. TR13165 - Revising Building Department Fee Schedule
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida revising the City's Building Department
Permit Fees to become effective January 1, 2019 pursuant to Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing an effective date.

e. TR13167 - Approve and Execute Change Order No. 1 to the Agreement with CC Control for SCADA
System Improvements
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving Change Order Number 1 to
the Agreement with CC Control Corporation utilizing pricing from an Agreement obtained through a formal
competitive process by the City of Oakland Park, RFP No. 022414 for the Lift Stations / Wells SCADA
improvements project, for additional items identified during construction, at a cost not to exceed $68,402.00;
authorizing the appropriate City Officials to execute Change Order Number 1; providing for conflicts;
providing for severability; and providing an effective date.

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, Establishing the Adjustment Factor to
be Applied to the Annual Water and Sewer Rate Schedule for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2018;

g. TR13166 FMIT Insurance Renewal FY 2019
TR13166 A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida; authorizing the renewal of
General Liability, Automobile Liability, Automobile Physical Damage, Workers' Compensation, and property
lines of coverage with the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust (FMIT) for a one (1) year period beginning
October 1, 2018 at a cost of $954,096 and payment of any increase resulting from the annual premium
audit and any endorsements; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective
date.
h. TR13175 - Confirm Appointment of 5th Member Trustee to the Police Pension Board
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, confirming appointment of Philip E.
Forsberg, I II as a Trustee of the Police Pension Board to serve a two-year term ending September 2, 2020
or until new appointments are made; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an
effective date.

the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2018; approving, confirming, and adopting the Stormwater Management
Utility Fee and Stormwater Management Utility Fee Roll; providing for other matters relating to the levy and
collection of The Stormwater Management Utility Fee on the Annual Property Tax Bills; providing for conflict;
providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

Collection Services for the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 2018; imposing a residential Solid Waste
Collection Assessment against assessed property located within The City Of Tamarac for the fiscal year

A Resolution of The City Commission of The City Of Tamarac, Florida, relating to The Provision of Nuisance

City's Code of Ordinances; approving The Collection of a Nuisance Abatement Special Assessment on real
property that has been specially benefited by The City's Abatement Of Nuisances thereon; approving a

Levy of Ad Valorem Taxes in the Amount of 7.2899 Mills ($7.2899 Per $1,000) Based Upon the Assessed
Value on Non -Exempt Real and Personal Property Located Within the City Limits of the City of Tamarac;

the event this agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the public at the
