a. Presentation to the Mayor and Commission of the Employer Support for Guard and Reserve

Any member of the public may speak to any issue that is not agendized for public hearing at this meeting.
Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item and at public hearings. There will be a thirty (30) minute
aggregate time limit for this item, and speakers are encouraged to sign up in advance with the City Clerk prior to
their participation.
When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be heard during a quasi-judicial
hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF TIME ALLOCATIONS -MOTIONS TO TABLE
The Chair at this time will announce those items that have been given a specific time to be heard, and will entertain
motions from the Commission members to table those items that require research. The Commission may agendize
by majority consent matters of an urgent nature which have come to the Commission's attention after publication.
6. CONSENT AGENDA
Items listed under Consent Agenda are viewed to be routine and the recommendation will be enacted by
ONE MOTION in the form listed below. If discussion is desired, then, in accordance with Resolution 2003-15,
Sec. 4.5, the item(s) will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.
a. Approval of the August 28, 2013 Regular Commission Meeting Minutes

b, TR12385 - Grant Application -US Soccer Foundation
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving and authorizing the
appropriate City Officials to submit an application to the U.S. Soccer Foundation for grant funds for
the development of a soccer field at the Tamarac Sports Complex in the amount of $200,000,
providing for a 1-to-1 match of $200,000 in local funds in the event of approval of the application;
providing for acceptance of the award and execution of documents upon approval; providing for
conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
c. TR12388 Florida Municipal Insurance Trust (FMIT) Renewal
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac of Florida; authorizing the renewal of
general liability, automobile liability, automobile physical damage, workers' compensation, and
property lines of coverage with the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust (FMIT) for a one (1) year period
beginning October 1, 2013 at a cost of $961,391 and payment of any increase resulting from the
annual premium audit; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective
date.
d. TR12386 -TASTE OF TAMARAC 2013
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving a request from the
Tamarac Chamber of Commerce for in -kind support and to waive fees for the Taste of Tamarac
event to be held at the Tamarac Community Center on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 11:30 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. providing for permits, proper insurance, and execution of a hold harmless agreement;
providing for conflicts, providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
e. TR12389 - Maior Corridor Study Supplement
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving a supplemental
change order to the Major Arterial Corridor Study Agreement between the City of Tamarac, Florida
and Keith and Schnars, P.A. providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing an
effective date.
f. TR12398 - Land Acquisition of 9399 W Commercial Blvd
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida approving and authorizing the
proper City Officials to execute that certain real estate purchase and sale contract for the purchase
of real property located at 9399 West Commercial Boulevard, Tamarac, Florida; attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein ; providing for the approval of the contract and authorizing the
proper City Officials to consummate the transaction contemplated by the contract for purchase and
sale providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
g. TR12401 - WNID Appointment
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida appointing Michael DeLemma to
serve on the Board of Directors of the Woodlands Community Neighborhood Improvement District;
providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

a. T02287 - Firefighters' Pension Plan Amendment
Motion to adopt an Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida; on second
reading amending Chapter 16, Pensions and Retirement, Article VI, Pension Plan, providing for the
definition of total cash remuneration; providing for clarification of disability benefits; providing for a
savings clause; providing for codification; providing for conflicts; for severability; and providing for an
effective date.

The City Commission may consider and act upon such other business as may come before it. In the event this
agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the public at the City Commission meeting.
