PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Any member of the public may speak to any issue that is not agendized for public hearing at this meeting. Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item and at public hearings. There will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate time limit for this item, and speakers are encouraged to sign up in advance with the City Clerk prior to their participation. When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be heard during a quasi-judicial hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter. ANNOUNCEMENT OF TIME ALLOCATIONS -MOTIONS TO TABLE The Chair at this time will announce those items that have been given a specific time to be heard, and will entertain motions from the Commission members to table those items that require research. The Commission may agendize by majority consent matters of an urgent nature which have come to the Commission's attention after publication. CONSENT AGENDA 6. TR 11538 - EDI GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac. Florida, accepting FY2008 Special Project Grant No. B-08-SP-FL-0156 in the amount of $147,000 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development; authorizing the appropriate City Officials to execute a grant agreement between the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Tamarac for reconstruction of the Tamarac Recreation Center; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing an effective date. c. TRi 1527 DESIGN SERVICES FOR MEDIAN IMPROVEMENTS ON NOB HILL ROAD A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, authorizing the appropriate City Officials to execute an agreement with Corzo Castella Carballo Thompson Salman, P.A., for professional design services for median improvements to Nob Hill Road. from Westwood Drive to Southgate Boulevard, to include design for landscaping, irrigation, curbing and brick pavers within the medians for an amount not to exceed $45,800.00; authorizing budget amendments as needed for proper accounting purposes; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date. TR11537 FIRST AMENDMENT TO CINGULAR WIRELESS PCS LEASE AGREEMENT A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac. Florida, authorizing the appropriate city officials to execute first amendment to the PCS site lease agreement with new Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC. to amend the notices paragraph, and to relocate existing antennas located at one hundred feet to a new height of eighty eight feet on the cell tower located at the Water Treatment Plant f. T811546 - SUPPORTING "BUILDING CITIZENSHIP IN THE COMMUNITY: BACK TO BASICS" INITIATIVE A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, recognizing the "Building Citizenship in the Community. Back to Basics" initiative of the Florida League of Cities. Inc., and pledging support for this statewide effort: providing for conflicts; providing for severability: providing for an effective date. g. TR11547 - EXPANDED AIR TRAVEL TO TALLAHASSEE A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, urging the Board of County Commissioners for Broward County, the Broward County Aviation [department , and the Federal Aviation Administration to provide or arrange to provide expanded air travel service between the Fort Lauderdale —Hollywood International Airport and the City of Tallahassee. Florida; directing the City Clerk to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Board of County Commissioners for Broward County, the Broward County Aviation Department, the Federal Aviation? T02170 - RED LIGHT CAMERAS: a ATTACHMENTS Motion to adopt Ordinance on second reading creating Chapter 14.5 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Tamarac to be called "the Tamarac Dangerous Intersection Safety Act"; and new Sections 14.5-1 through 14.5- 15 providing for intent and definitions; establishing an enforcement program within the City: authorizing the City to permit and implement the use of unmanned cameras/monitoring devices for red light infractions; providing enforcement procedures, including notice, appeal hearings. penalties, imposition of administrative charges and collection; providing for exceptions; providing for codification; providing for severability; providing an effective date. In the event this agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the public at the City Commission meeting.
