WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 2006
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Commission on Wednesday, September 13,
2006 at 6:30 p.m., in the Commission Chambers at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida, to hold public hearings on the proposed millage, tentative
budget, and Fire Rescue Special Assessment for Fiscal Year 2007.
CALL TO ORDER: 6:30 P.M.
ROLL CALL:
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Harry Dressler
1. ANNOUNCEMENT of the percentage increase in proposed millage rate over the
rolled -back rate necessary to fund the General Fund budget for FY 2007 and the
specific purposes for which ad valorem tax revenues are being increased.
2. PUBLIC HEARING on the proposed millage rate for FY 2007.
3. PUBLIC HEARING on the Fire Rescue Assessments for FY 2007.
4. PUBLIC HEARING on the tentative General Fund and other Fund budgets for
FY 2007.
5. ADOPTING MILLAGE FOR THE 2006 TAX ROLL: (TO2120) Motion to adopt
ordinance on first reading adopting the millage for the 2006 tax roll; levying a
tax for general operations on all properties for the Fiscal Year 2007; levying a tax
for the payment of principal and interest for bonded indebtedness.

6. FIRE RESCUE ASSESSMENT: (TR11030) Motion to approve Resolution
relating to the provision of fire rescue services, facilities and programs in the City
of Tamarac, Florida, reimposing Fire Rescue Assessments against Assessed
Property located within the City of Tamarac for the Fiscal Year beginning
October 1, 2006; approving the rate of assessment; approving the Assessment
Roll.
7. TENTATIVE GENERAL FUND AND OTHER FUND BUDGETS FOR FY2007:
(TO2121) Motion to adopt ordinance on first reading adopting the budget for the
General Fund and each of the other Operating Funds and the Capital
Improvements Fund for the fiscal year 2007; allocating, appropriating, and
authorizing expenditures as presented in the budget; providing for the revenues
necessary to fund the expenditures of each of the funds; authorizing budgetary
control by department total for all appropriations.
8. ANNOUNCEMENT of the second public hearing during which a final millage and
budget shall be adopted.

meeting or hearing, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is
based.
