HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-02-02 - City Commission Special Meeting AgendaTA 7525 N.W. 88th AVENUE TAMARAC, FLORIDA 33321-2401 RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTIONS/DISCUSSIONS SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA There will be a Special meeting of the City Council on Friday, February 2, 1990, at 9:30 A.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, Florida. The following items will be considered at this meeting: 1. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION on proposal to extend dity of ' Tamarac's consumption use permit to cover homeowner and condominium associations for purposes of compliance with --the South Florida Water Management District's mandatory water restrictions, FINAL ACTION: YWWAPPROVAL was given for the extension to Tamarac home- owner associations and condominium associations giving them the opportunity to participate under the City's umbrella consumption use permit. 2. MOTION TO ADOPT Temp. -Reso. 45680 authorizing the appropriate City off,icials­ ­ to execute a contract with Public Advertising, Inc., for erecting and maintaining bus stop shelters within the City. FINAL ACTION: RESOLUTION NO. APPROVED as amended. R--90--30 PASSED. 3. MOTION TO ADOPT Tema. Reso. #5681 authorizing the appropriate City officials to executeW an agreement with Grant Thornton providing for an audit of the City's General Purpose Financial Statements- for the Fiscal Years ending September 30, 1989, 1990 and 1991. FINAL ACTION: RESOLUTION NO. R-90-31 PASSED. APPROVED. 4. MOTION TO ADOPT Tema. Reso. #5683 authorizing the appropriate City officials towexecute4an agreement with AT&T for long distance telephone service on public pay phones located on public property-- within the City whereby the City would receive revenues in an amount up to 20% of all completed long distance calls. FINAL ACTION: RESOLUTION NO. R-90-32 PASSED. APPROVED. 5. MOTION TO ADOPT Temp. Reso. #5684 amending the agreement between the City of Tamarac and Susan M. Tillman for consultant services in the area of risk management, asset protection, safety, insurance and employee benefits. FINAL ACTION: RESOLUTION NO. R--90--33 PASSED. APPROVED as amended. The City Council may consider and act upon such other business as may come before it.
