NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday,
January 29, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. in the Conference Room #1 of City
Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
The following items will be considered:
1.
a. MOTION TO ADOPT Temp. Reso. #5972 approving a plat
for Florida Power & Light Company CONSERVATION
SUBSTATION project.
b. MOTION TO ADOPT Temg. Reso. #5973 approving a site
plan and associated documents for Florida Power & Light
Company CONSERVATION SUBSTATION project. (located at
the northwest corner of Commercial Boulevard and the
Sawgrass Expressway)

APPROVED RESOLUTION #R-91-18-PASSED
b.
APPROVED with the following RESOLUTION #R-91-19-PASSED
conditions:
1)
FP&L will certify that it will comply with all applicable DER
requirements relative to EMF; if FP&L increase the nominal
voltage of the substation above 500KV, FP&L will give written
notice to the City.
2)
FP&L will make its best efforts to comply with all applicable
FCC regulations regarding interference with communication
facilities. FP&L will provide a written response to the City
with regard to all complaints received by the City or FP&L
with regard to interference with communication facilities.
3)
If a transformer erupts and causes pollution as defined by
the Department of Environmental Regulations, FP&L will take
necessary actions as required by that agency to remediate any
such pollution problem. The City will be provided written
notice.
4)
FP&L will comply with Chapter 33.05 of the Broward County
Code concerning tree removal.
5)
FP&L will use its best efforts to utilize the regional road
system, preferably the Sawgrass Expressway, to transport its
heavy construction equipment and machines and material.
Where City streets are used, notice will be given to the
City. Where damage occurs to street lights, traffic control
facilities, pavements, curbs, bridges, or other public
facilities, FP&L will repair and replace in accordance with
the instructions of the City engineer.
6)
FP&L will provide semi-annual testing of the 500 gallon per
minute pump and provide the results of such testing to the
City.
7)
$60,000 additional landscaping will be provided on -site by
FP&L subject to approval of the Community Development
Department.

8) The City Attorney has reviewed the FP&L certification
regarding the location of additional transmission line
the City and finds that transmission lines will be in
existing transmission line corridors.
9) The City Attorney has approved an indemnity Agreement
FP&L concerning public safety access.
2. MOTION TO APPROVE Temv_ Reso. #5983 authorizing tl
appropriate City officials to execute a lease agreemen
between the City of Tamarac and the School Board of Br
County for the Multi --Purpose Center.
