NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1993
August 30, 1993
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday,
September 7, 1993, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Tamarac
City Hall, 7525 N.W. 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida, to hold public
hearings on the proposed millage and tentative budgets for Fiscal
Year 1993/94.
1. ANNOUNCEMENT of the percentage increase in proposed millage
rate over the rolled -back rate necessary to fund the General
Fund budget for Fiscal Year 1993/94 and the specific purposes
for which ad valorem tax revenues are being increased.
FINAL _ACTION:
Announced by City Manager Kelly. The tentative General Fund
Budget of $18,430,751 is $1,130,384 more than the current budget
of $17,300,367. Council has proposed to increase the current
millage rage of 4.8293 mills to 5.0083 which is a 5.1% increase
over the rolled --back rate of 4.7645 mils.

1993/94.

PUBLIC Hearing held on proposed millage rate of 5.0083%.
3. PUBLIC HEARING on the tentative General Fund budget for
Fiscal Year 1993/94.

PUBLIC Hearing held on tentative General Fund budget of
$18,430,951 for FY 1993/94.
4. MOTIQU TO ADOPT a proposed millage rate for Fiscal Year
1993/94.

ADOPTED proposed millage rate of 5.0083% for FY 1993/94 which is a
5.1% increase above the current rolled -back rate of 4.7645 mils.
5, MQTION TO ADOPT a tentative General Fund budget for Fiscal
Year 1993/94.

1993/94
6. ANNOUNCEMENT of percentage by which the recomputed millage
rate exceed the rolled -back rate necessary to fund the
General Fund budget for Fiscal Year 1993/94.
FIX&L ACTION:
City Manager Kelly announced the recomputed millage rate is
5.0083% which is 5.1% above the current rolled --back rate of 4.7645
mills.

September 21, 1993, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council
Chambers during which a final millage and General Fund budget
shall be adopted.

10. ANNOUNCEMENT of proposed debt service millage rate for
Fiscal Year 1993/94.
FINAL --ACTION:
Announced by City Manager Kelly that the proposed debt service
millage rage for FY 1993/94 as being .6000 mils which is 6.2%
above the current debt service millage rate of .5650 mils.
11. MOTION TO ADOPT proposed debt service millage rate for
Fiscal Year 1993/94.
FINAL &r.TION:
APPROVED the proposed debt service millage rate for FY 1993/94 as
being .6000 mils.
