SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2002
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Commission on Wednesday, September 18,
2002 at 6.30 p.m., in the Commission Chambers at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida, to hold public hearings on the proposed millage and
tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2003.
1. ANNOUNCEMENT of the percentage increase (decrease) in proposed millage
rate over (under) the rolled -back rate necessary to fund the General Fund budget
for FY 03 and the specific purposes for which ad valorem tax revenues are being
increased.
2. PUBLIC HEARING on the final millage rate for FY 03.
3. PUBLIC HEARING on the final General Fund and other Fund budgets for FY 03.
4. MOTION TO ADOPT Temporary Resolution #9851, adopting the millage for
the 2002 tax roll; levying a tax for general operations on all properties for the
Fiscal Year 2003; levying a tax for the payment of principal and interest for
bonded indebtedness; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and
providing for an effective date.

5. _MOTION TO ADOPT Temporary Ordinance No. 1973, on second reading,
adopting the budget for the General Fund and each of the other Operating Funds
and the Capital Improvements Fund for the fiscal year 2003, allocating,
appropriating, and authorizing expenditures as presented in the budget; providing
for the revenues necessary to fund the expenditures of each of the funds;
authorizing budgetary control by department total for all appropriations; providing
for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
6. MOTION TO ADOPT Temporary Resolution #9852, adopting the Capital
Improvement Program (CIP) for the five year period beginning with Fiscal Year
2003; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an
effective date.

The City Commission may consider and act upon such other business as may come
before it. All meetings are open to the public. In the event this agenda must be revised,
such revised copies will be available to the public at the City Commission meeting.
Pursuant to Chapter 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any
decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such
meeting or hearing, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is
based.
