WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2010
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Talabisco called the Special Meeting of the City Commission
to order at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, in Conference Room 105 at
Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, FL.
PRESENT: Mayor Beth Talabisco, Vice Mayor Harry Dressler, Commissioner Pamela
Bushnell, Commissioner Michelle J. Gomez (telephonically), Commissioner Diane
Glasser, Assistant City Attorney David Tolces, Michael Burke, Esq. representing
Johnson, Anselmo, et al., Special Counsel and Deputy City Manager Michael Cernech.
ALSO PRESENT: Assistant City Clerk Patricia Teufel and Donna Meyers, Court
Reporter.
Assistant City Attorney Tolces explained the purpose of this meeting, as set forth in
Florida Statutes, is that the City Attorney desires advice concerning litigation regarding
Ace Waste Services, LLC v. City of Tamarac, Florida (Case No. 10-22554(14).
Assistant City Attorney Tolces asked Mayor Talabisco to recess the special meeting so
the Mayor and City Commission, Assistant City Attorney David Tolces, Michael Burke,
Esq. representing Johnson, Anselmo, et al., Special Counsel, and Deputy City Manager
Michael Cernech can begin discussions regarding the litigation in the shade session.
Mayor Talabisco recessed the special meeting at 9:35 a.m. Assistant City Clerk Teufel
left the room.
Mayor Talabisco reconvened the special meeting at 10:34 a.m.
There being no further business to come before the Mayor and City Commission, Mayor
Talabisco adjourned the special meeting at 10:35 a.m.
